Foundation Supported Programs
The Foundation supports a variety of programs that are funded through various sources of revenue such as the Support Education Specialty License Plates, the Annual Phil Galvano Golf Classic, the Pittsburgh Pirates' "Hit a Homerun for Education" Benefit Game, the heART & Soul Gala and Live Art Auction, Corporate Sponsorships and School District Employee Payroll Deduction.

Foundation Overview
The Manatee Education Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 1988, which provides direct and indirect support to the Manatee County School District through a variety of programs that benefit students and teachers. The Foundation acts as a liaison between the private sector and the public school system providing avenues for business, industry, and community involvement in public education. Our mission is accomplished by addressing key issues and needs within the public arena, and presenting effective, efficient, accountable, and results-oriented opportunities for the private sector to support quality public education.
The Foundation supports student/teacher classroom grants, student recognition such as Brains on the Beach - an event honoring the top 4% of graduating seniors and Scholarships for Seniors, along with teacher recognition programs such as Honor Thy Teacher.
Some of the funding sources for the Foundation include but are not limited to: "Support Education" Specialty License Plate, Employee Payroll Deduction, Phil Galvano Golf Classic, and the Pittsburgh Pirates Benefit Game.
Please help us invest in our community’s most precious resource – our children.
The Foundation is currently serving: 43,000 students and 3,325 teachers in Manatee County.
